BMW Westrand demand in respect of proper service

My experience with BMW West Rand dealership is the worst bad service I've ever had, unfair, unjust and delictual behavior, in actual fact a day light ******* at West Rand Dealership. I first brought in my car to be checked for the following problems: Engine Oil Leak, Noise coming out of the front suspension of the car while driving on bumpy roads (suspecting shocks) and Car Service, after the diagnosis, I was told by the dealership that to fix the problems would cost me the amount of R85 036.52 (incl). I agreed to pay the quoted amount and took the car in, while the car was with the dealership, I was told that one of the injectors got damaged when they were taking it out and it must be replaced. I was charged an additional amount of R8000 even though I was not responsible for the damage on the injector. However, I paid it. When I fetched the car, the noise was still there and after a week, the problems I had taken the car in for persisted. The (dashboard) oil light was on, and I was left with no option but to take the car back to the dealership.

The service manager managed to re-set and remove the dashboard light. He said the car was perfect and I should give it a month, if I do that the car won’t give me problems again. He then offered to give the old parts back to me if I wanted them. I then requested for the old parts back, but the manager never came back and I had to leave. When the oil leak wouldn’t stop, I took the car back to be checked out again and I was told that the leaking will stop in a matter of 2 – 3 weeks as it might take time settling. I drove the car away, and after a week, the dashboard engine-light came on. When I continued driving, I noticed that the car had lost power, and the dashboard notice said, “engine power reduced”. I took the car back to the dealership and I was told that the loss of power was because of the misfiring of the injector that had been replaced. The service manager promised that they would sort it out, as this was their fault. I requested to see the job card indicating that it may seem like most of the things I paid for were actually not done. I wanted to compare the items on the job card with the invoice I had paid. I was told that I could only be given the invoice not the job card.

A week later I received a call from the dealership advising me that the car had been fixed and was ready for collection. The same injector is still misfiring is not fixed. I am extremely disappointed by the poor service level received at that dealership. I expected what has always been advertised as superior professional service with genuine motor vehicle parts by BMW. I invested over R90 000.00 to have my vehicle handled by trusted professionals and the service I received or lack of rather, was anything but professional, lacked empathy and integrity. It's disappointing that a franchise carrying the BMW name has tried to ****** me in the manner that they have.

To date my car is still with the dealership from the, from first week of December 2022, no communication at all, when to the dealership to check with the manager on the 19 December 2022 nothing was done, both the service manager and dealership principal told me they have no courtesy car for me to do my work while they fixing the mess they have created with their wrong diagnoses of the engine oil leak. Today on the 31st January 2023 nothing has been done still. As far as the vehicle is concerned, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy / service their car.
