Bad service and damages to my vehicle by Williams Hunt

Dear Lee,

This is my last attempt to try and resolve this amicably.

Should I not receive a favourable answer by close of business today I am taking this further.

Kind regards,

Cobus Viljoen

From: Cobus Viljoen **********
Sent: Wednesday, 26 October 2016 9:59 AM
To: ********** />Cc: ********** />Subject: Summer Cliffs

Dear Lee Smith,

Attached find pictures of my bakkie that I have received yesterday back after the service and the clock issue.

The bakkie was delivered to you on the the 20th @ 11h00. I have personally explained to you my disappointment with my previous service of the bakkie. With the previous service I have explained to Mr Gio Janjes that the clock is winning time( or as per your document – steeling time). When I collected the bakkie later that afternoon and required about the clock he(Gio Janjes) did not even answer me but ran to the bakkie and set the clock to the current time. Then he came back and told me that the clock has been sorted out. Please note that I have explained to him in English and Afrikaans that the clock is steeling time so he cannot say that he misunderstood me.

After the previous service I have received an email from General Motors to rate your service. I have scored you 0 for the service received and in the notes I have written a two page letter to explained my dissipointment in your service and till today have not received an email back – once again this prove the level of your service. Why send people a mail to rate your service and then don’t respond to the complaints and ratings. Unfortunately I cannot find that mail but would like to get a copy so that you can see it – maybe then you will understand my disappointment and will take my seriously.

Ok enough of Gio Janjes let’s get back to the service I have received from you from the 20th to yesterday.
The bakkie was delivered to you on the 20th @ 11h00. The bakkie was booked for the 20th but I had a unscheduled meeting at 10h00 in Town and Lucille from my office phoned and advised that the bakkie will only be there at 11h00 but you can keep it till the next day as we have delivered it late. I have explained to you the clock that was steeling time and told you not to phone me to collect bakkie if the clock is not sorted out.
Then I asked you to arrange for a driver to take me back to my work place. After 30min I had to require again about the driver and you told me your one driver is at the airport and you cannot get hold of the other driver. I informed you that I have a meeting at 14h00 in Franschoek and that I am running out of time and going to miss the meeting. I was then forced to make alternative arrangements to get back to my office as it was clear that you did not want to walk the extra mile for your client. I had to use Uber and it cost me R 113.00

We phoned on the morning of 21st to require about the progress on the bakkie and when it will be ready so that we can arrange for the collection. We were told that bakkie should be ready by lunch but you will confirm.
We have received a call round about lunch and was informed that bakkie is ready for collection. I was so excited that bakkie was ready and that the clock was sorted out. I could not believe it and ask my office manager Lucille just to phone back and ask about the clock. Then we was told that you cannot find something wrong with the clock – this was when I have totally lost it because my instruction was clear that I don’t want the bakkie back unless the clock is sorted out.

So I received the bakkie back yesterday and was told I have to monitor the clock and report back. According to you they have reset the bakkie to factory settings whatever this mean but I am not convinced that the problem is sorted out. Please make a booking in advance for the bakkie in a month’s time – 2016/11/25. As discussed with you please arrange for a loan vehicle that I can use while you attend to my bakkie.
Please also confirm that you will repair the damages that was co**** by your work shop on the same time. See picture “Damages by Williams Hunt”. The damages was discussed with you yesterday and you confirmed that your manager agree to fix it.

Then as you can see on the pictures the bakkie was also not cleaned properly.

Please confirm in writing the following:

1. Damages by Williams Hunt as per picture attached will be fix by Williams Hunt to the satisfactory of the client.
2. Clock that is steeling time will be sorted out on the 25th of November if not sorted
3. Bakkie will be washed and clean properly
4. You will provide me with a loan vehicle from the 25th of November until the damages and clock is sorted out.

Looking forward to your positive reply and good service in future.

Kind regards,

Cobus Viljoen
