Atrocious Service By VW Weiss

We did our brakes on the 02nd Jan by VW Weiss in Durban. 1 week later we started to hear noises which sound like a nail in the tyre, which we didn’t think much of this. On the 11th Jan we decided to go check where the nail is, on our way to G force in Chatsworth the noise started to get louder and louder resulting in our passenger rear brakes failing. A gentlemen assisted us from G force and got the van into they yard. After checking they noticed that there was no shoulder and no nut on the brakes that VW changed thus resulting in the caliber being loose and this was hitting the rim whilst driving. We immediately contacted Emmanuel from VW Weiss as this is where we did our brakes. We spoke to him at 12.06, and sent him a picture via email at 12.28. The gentlemen in G Force also spoke to him telephonically on what is missing. After much back and forth we did request for a technician to come out and insert the part that is missing. How ever when the guy arrived on behalf of VW Weiss, this was just the driver with the wrong part. We called them again and explained everything to him all over again. We sent him a video at 14.23 as per their request and the technician sent a voice note to him as well on what is needed. (which I have a record of this) He then tells us that our insurance doesn’t cover the nut and this is a faulty nut. Which nothing was brought to our attention when we did the brakes initially. I had many vehicles where I had to change brakes and never did, I have an issue with any other place. We asked him again please send a mechanic to come out with spares and sort this out as we can not drive the vehicle. After much follow up with him, he then advised us that he is sending a mechanic with the correct parts. Upon arrival we see that they have no tools to sort this out, as we had to ask G force to please assist us in this as well. After removing the tyre we see that he still did not bring the other part and brought a nut with just a thinner thread and the guy they sent was not a mechanic at all. The guy they sent informed us that the correct part is in Ballito. (Why couldn’t they tell us this in the first place, instead of wasting our valuable time and energy) It is now 4.30 pm and we are there from 11.00am roughly. G force is now closing and we needed our vehicle sorted. We then asked to speak to the manager of the place. They refused to assist us as we did not get the vehicle to them in the first place. She accused us of tampering with the vehicle and was extremely rude. They have no idea on what is customer service and did not even think of how we would get home instead we was told by the manager that this is not her problem and she cannot assist us at all in getting home we should have brought the van to her. I am from Chatsworth, with no brakes in the back and I must drive it like that to them in Greyville imagine if I was in jhb or pmb.. I must drive all the way risking my life to get to them. I am disgusted by the way she handled this. I trusted my vehicle with them to get things sorted and they cause more damages and put me into more cost which they are not covering. From what I see they clearly forgot to insert the shoulder and nut and they make this our problem that this part is missing, like I am going to open this and remove the shoulder and nut and drive around like that.

Thereafter around 7.20pm they inform us that the car must be towed to them then only they will assess this. Again, they will not cover any cost They almost costed me my families life, my life and the those out there. They don’t have the decency to be honest and apologize that they did and terrible Job and rectify this without fooling us and stalling us, JUST BE HONEST. Instead, I am accused that I tampered with this I now have to take uber up and down to buy the part and pay G Force for labor, THAT VW CASUED Due to the incompetence at VW Weiss. This gives a bad name To ALL VW. And I will never take my business to VW as a whole itself and will make sure my family and friends get this message and also take, they business elsewhere.
