Action ford or No Action at ford?
I purchased a Brand new 4x4 vehicle on the 28th of September 2018 from Action ford. I have been met with total disregard for customer satisfaction. The vehicle has been in the workshop for more time than with me the past two months.
The Vehicle has numerous scratches and cosmetic faults on it including a burn make on the roof. Note that this was a brand new vehicle that a damaged ceiling, paint and bodywork defects. Dealer principal; Gerhard Coetzer at Ford was extremely rude and subsequently refused to replace the vehicle and said they would repair under warranty. I received the vehicle back 2 weeks ago with more damages and scratches than it went in with. I immediately sent the vehicle back. Ford Dragged their feet with this and I escalated to Ford SA would although involved continuously repeated they could only assist with warranty repairs and not a sales complaint.
Dealership does not keep one updated on the status of vehicle in their possession and I only received responses from sales person Brenden Wilson via WhatsApp when he felt like responding.
Issues: - Upon reviewing the contract for signature when I went to collect the vehicle, I found the contract amount was stated much higher than the OTP i signed earlier in the week. - Upon vehicle inspection I found that that van was not clean and the sales rep Brendon acknowledged this. Next day I contacted the sales rep to note the following concerns; - Hair on the back roof to what seemed to me as Dog hair. - A few days later I also became aware of a burn mark on the roof. - Also made them aware that the bonnet on the vehicle was lose. - The infamous "wildtrac" sticker on the drivers door is peeling already - Two months later and they have still not licenced the vehicle in my possession. they now requested me to do the licensing and they will fit the bill once I produce the receipts. - Paint defect on the front drivers door edge - The smash and grab is already cracked and peeling on the first week of having the vehicle. its now been received back after been in the workshop for 4 weeks almost with the tint all scratched.
On the 10th of October 2018, I contacted the principal dealer Gerhard Coetzer at action ford as I did not received any answers from the sales rep Brenden on actions to be taken. Upon speaking to the principal dealer, he was very rude and abrupt and said they would collect the van when they could to inspect it. 14days later and no confirmation when they will collect it. His response was just as rude, saying that I signed the inspection list on collections and this indemnifies him (FORD) from any complaint, I as the customer lay with the consumer complaints. So ford refuses to replace the car and refuses to give a firm date on when this will be looked into. I have been speaking with ford finance, Ford customer care and Clinton Pillay at the dealership and no satisfaction received. It has been a total frustration with ford and i regret but the vehicle through action ford.
Vehicle has been returned to me today the 15th November with a NEW DEEP scratch on the back door, front bumper chipped , tint still scratched and 500 additional kilometres on the vehicle and still Action ford refuses to replace the vehicle with a new one.
This is just a new low in purchasing this vehicle. I have been informed by Clinton Pillay the vehicle was checked. To prove the points I made their driver explain what he saw and then only was it believed. I now sit with vehicle and told that the mobile unit will come fix the scratches.
Totally fed and I would advise anyone to be cautious in purchasing a new vehicle from action ford and they are not ethical.
