Absolute ********** work

I bought a second hand hyundai elantra. It was suggested that before i drive it, I have the shocks, cv joints and clutch kit done on the car. An acquaintance at which suggests I take it to their mechanic, Bula. So I take it in for a quote and he quotes me R9350 for the work. Impressed with the price, I happily take the vehicle in. A week later, im told that I have to pay cash upfront. So I take an advance out on a commission and pay bula in cash. A week later I call in only to hear that the work hadn't been started because they were very busy and they have to work on it at night because its a private job. This I didn't know. A week later im told that the tear spring has snapped. A month later im told I can collect the car but the shocks and rear spring have not been done because the spring us difficult to find. So im refunded R916 out of R1450 for the shocks. I was just happy to be mobile again. 2 weeks later the car breaks down because the cc joints weren't done. I have the car towed back and they take 3 weeks to do the joints. I collect the car and 200 meters down the road the car breaks down again. I tow it back and am told its the battery. I refused to pay for battery and left.
