2nd new Ford that didn't make 3 years/60 000km without problems

Took my Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost Ambiente to Action Ford Krugersdorp, after it lost power whilst I was driving on 2 March 2020. With only 59 846 km on the clock I assumed that it is a minor problem, maybe a pipe or software. Received a call back to let me know that a propeller on the turbo broke and it will cost me R 20 000 to repair. The same car has been recalled twice for the clutch pressure plate and a software update because it was at risk of fire/burning.

I had to sell my previous car, a Ford Fiesta 1.4 after having to replace the coil pack, clutch and went through 3 sets of brake pads and discs because the left caliper was not releasing at 55000 km and even though the vehicle was still under warranty Ford refused to pay for any of the above because it was either electrical or wear and tear and all the repairs came out of my own pocket.

I decided that I do not want the car back and definitely don't want a new car after being contacted by Gary from new car sales and wanted to get rid off it with Ford then taking the vehicle off my hands, deducting their repairs and settling with Wesbank. After not getting any feedback, I phoned just to hear that this is not a possibility and that they do not have the finances at the moment to take the car off my hands.

This morning I had to make arrangements to collect the vehicle at Action Ford Krugersdorp after no one informed me that the vehicle was ready for collection, I had to phone to find out it was repaired the day before, my wife dropped me off and left with baby to drop her off at daycare and go to work, I forgot my phone in her car and could not make payment, because I receive an OTP from the bank and they refused to release the car. After an 8 year relationship buying and servicing the car at the same place knowing the names of the sales and service advisors, they refused to release the car and I had to wait for a driver, be late for work and having to do the same exercise again this afternoon.

Ford's are not built tough they do not last, when buying a Ford just know your car will be on a finance lease that you pay every month and be sure to have some reserve funds because you will have to finance the parts on their cars separately also keep a fire extinguisher nearby.
