Deposit on a house worth of Damages

I don't know what to do anymore. I have been living in a Century Property for 2 years now and things just get worse and worse and nothing is being done about this. So I am writing my first hello-peter review ever.

Firstly the noise: Babies crying non stop, dogs barking and people who who use the clubhouse into the late hours of the morning. As I am writing this it is 11:30PM and I can hear people two blocks away from me having a party, but the rules state silence at 10PM. I have experienced people who use the clubhouse until 3:30AM yet the rules for clubhouse use are, 10PM music off, 11PM everyone leave the clubhouse. And no matter how nicely or not so nicely I ask, the estate management just doesn't do anything about it.

We have had 6 reported break-ins in 8 months. People litter everywhere. I have come home from a week holiday to find my parking spot littered with 2 empty beer bottles, 4 half eaten coconuts (I know right?) and chips packets everywhere. What was done? Nothing.

Now for the creme de la creme: We have power failures outside of the normally scheduled load-shedding. I had a faulty breaker apparently and when the power was out and came back on the DB board tripped. So I came home to a melted freezer and had to trow away at least R3500 worth of groceries. Want to hear the fun part...this happened 3 times in total. So R10500 down the drain.

I run a very expensive business at home and have about R55 000 worth of computer equipment that I need to make a living. With unscheduled internet failures and power failures I have faced a loss of R113 000, not mentioning what these power failures do to my hardware.

Finally, it is in the middle of winter and I had an accidentally where I slipped and fell hand first through the window, 6 stitches. Obviously my fault...I told the agents I would pay for the replacement of the window....4 weeks. I work international which keeps me up very late....4 weeks it takes them to replace my window and I am home every single day, they can come at any time of the day or night.

So all in all I am paying R10 000 a month for this place, faced R113 000 loss of income, who knows how much damage to my equipment and R10500 worth of grocery loss, with nothing so much as an apology or an attempt to right these wrongs.

So all I can do is advise others to stay away from Century Property.
