Why do we put up with this level of service?

They make you pay up front, give dismal service (1), supply the wrong parts (2), then double charge for items (3). (1) They once had my car for a week then phoned me to ask why it was there. (2) Suppled the wrong wiper blades. (3) Was charged before they would order the parts then they made the person fetching the parts pay again.
