Not disability aware - only window dressing

<p>this was a mail i sent the centre managment , but not one person answered!</p> <p>Good Day Ronelle</p> <p> </p> <p>I am very disappointed with the lack of action that I received from the security on Sunday 19 March 2017 ( 13:00 to 14:00)</p> <p> </p> <p>I was at Centurion Mall , with my wife , who is having to use a wheel chair at the moment. We parked in the disability parking bay ( 3rd from the entrance in front of Incredible Connection ) . After getting her out of the Car, next to us on the right hand side a Silver Mercedes pulled in ( Parking in the Mother and Child bay )</p> <p> </p> <p>The driver and passenger climbed out of the car , without any child. I called to them that they were not allowed to park in that spot as it was allocated for a “ Mother and her Child “ . The answer I got was that he was picking up his “ Mother and Child “</p> <p> </p> <p>When I got inside the centre I approached a security guard and explained what happened and asked him to clamp the wheels of the car. He informed me that he would get hold of the centre management and report it to them.</p> <p> </p> <p>Well what a disappointed when I got back to the car after shopping to find the following</p> <p> </p> <p>The car was still parked in the parking bay<br />The car was not clamped<br /> </p> <p>I tried to get someone from centre management ( asked a sales person from Incredible Connection ) to be told that the person to get was the person guarding the car in the tower, what a surprise ?</p> <p> </p> <p>Anyhow before I walked all the way, the occupants of the car returned, “ They must have misplaced the Mother with her Child “ as they climbed into their car and left.</p> <p> </p> <p>My question to you is the following.</p> <p> </p> <p>Is Centurion Mall only window dressing that it is concerned about servicing, people with disability and mother with their children? Or that you enforce the rules and keep the allocated parking bays for who they are intended for?</p> <p> </p> <p>It is a pity that people that are self centred, uncompassionate and blatantly arrogant get away with this type of behaviour, so long as they are “ excused, absolved “ by the Management of Centres in the view that they add to the revenue of the centre this practice will continue.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please can you enforce that the special parking bays are used by the intended drivers.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Thanking you</p> <p> </p> <p>Raymond Stirling</p>
