Centurion Ballet school shocking approach
Hi, we had the saddest and heart-breaking experience. my 7 year daughter joined this school in 2019, we for some reason could not keep up with the recurring cost of costume etc, my kid moved to another level for this year and a new costume had to purchased, on purchase from the shop at the school, the lady assisting at the shop issued us with a new costume etc, the cost was around (R720) my wife requested a size bigger so it lasts a thru the year as the child is growing, the assist at the shop refused, and said it must be a tight fit , which my wife excepted. The costume was purchase 30 mins before her class on Monday with the same teacher, there was no issues, on Wednesday the teacher speaks to my wife stating that the colour costume she bought is incorrect, my wife thereafter went to the shop assistant and did a follow up, the shop assistant look at the costume chart and realized she made a mistake, she apologized , and said i just need to call the owner so he can rectify this mistake, the owner comes after a few mins and wife explains the entire misunderstanding , the owner turns around and say sorry this costume is now second hand and we cannot exchange it, and the story that is not true, you insisted that you want that colour, so I don’t believe your story , so wife said how can i want my kid to look different from the class , as there is a standard uniform chart, my wife left the school very upset. so my wife vented her frustration to other parents on the ballet group chat, that evening, i get a call from the school explaining what went on, the person from the school was only worried about the causing bad name to the school, in reply i said to the caller i will have a chat to my wife this evening and get her side of the story, and then we rather set up a meeting to resolve this face to face, I did call the school that evening to set an appointment, they did not take my call, but was promised to me a meeting
on Monday we get a letter from school, stating that they have decided to end our agreement with us, as we trying to effect damage to the business and our kid will not be allowed in the class, this confirmed the integrity of the school, when they said this , YOUR ACCOUNT IS IN ARREARS KINDLY MAKE THE OUTSTANDING PAYMENT ASAP..(mind blowing) i was devastated , this is the point i am trying to make, i do understand terms conditions mis-understandings, but not in any POINT the school considered the kids feelings, how will the 7 year old feel, since they prime ingredients of this business should be welling being and happiness of the kid.
sadly everything these days have turn into a Rand Value, and since we slave to provide and give the best to our kids, i say "slave" because with all the economical and financial strain currently it’s not easy to put bread on the table these days as parents, Should we slave to support an environment like this ,Heart breaking
this proofs that this school, has quite a healthy financial business structure
cheers
