Capitec needs to invest in training its staff.
Hi, I have submitted a funeral claim on the 3rd of January 2024, and i didn't receive any communication from Capitec regarding the acknowledgement of receipt of my claim documents up until the 5th of January 2024 where i was made aware that there is a document missing. I then quickly went to the doctor to get the required document, i submitted the outstanding document on the 8th in their Saveways Witbank branch only for their claims department to say they never received the document yet it was handed over in the branch. I went back again in the branch Witbank (Saveways) on the 11th to do a follow up on the claim and again i was told i must wait for 48 hours because a lady called Dimpho Molawa had just started assessing my claim, mind you i submitted the first claim documents on the 3rd of January 2024. Whilst waiting for an outcome of my claim, i got another sms from Capitec saying they need a document called the Bereavement Letter. I tried calling capitec's call centre so i can speak to whoever can assist and apparently the call centre agents i was transferred to don't know what the Bereavement letter is and where i should get it. I asked several times when i called to speak to the lady assessing my claim, i however hit a brickwall each time i asked for her, she is uncontactable or not allowed to speak to clients, so my question is why am i being sent from pillar to post for a claim that could have been settled or repudiated long time ago only if capitec had the interest of their clients at heart and employed competent staff that is customer centric. I am highly disappointed in the way Capitec staff treats its customers both at branch and call centre, majority of the people there don't know what they are doing.
