Capitec funeral policy claim

I have taken out a funeral policy when them on 01/04/2025 and my brother passed on the 21/08/2025 and now thy declined my claim saying the he passed on not in the waiting period so if I look at it it's only 1 week from the waiting period please advise me what can I do
