Disappointing Experience with Balwin Properties - Central Park Oakdene

I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience with Balwin Properties, specifically regarding the handling of a critical issue I've been facing at my residence in Central Park Oakdene.

I have been a resident at one of Balwin Properties in Central Park Oakdene since 2013, and for the most part, my experience was positive until recently. In 2021/2022, I encountered a problem with my roof and trap door, which prompted me to report the matter to Balwin offices. To my surprise, I was informed that the property was no longer under Balwin's ownership, as they apparently sell properties after five years.

After numerous calls, I was directed to the estate manager, who I approached with my concerns about the unstable sounds emanating from the roof and the consistently open trap door. The response I received was disheartening. I was told that the roof had a cheap construction, causing the instability and that a simple solution would be to place a brick over the cheap to mitigate the noise. Little did I know that this was just the beginning of my ordeal.

Fast forward to 2023, on 28th October 2023, I received a call from the security guard urging me to move my furniture urgently due to an open roof. Despite the severity of the situation, it has been two weeks, marked by rain and cold weather, and my roof remains unfixed. The consequences of this negligence have been dire—rainwater has infiltrated my home, resulting in furniture damage and destruction of bedroom cupboards.

What adds to the frustration is the apparent lack of urgency in addressing this matter. I fear that further damages to my furniture are imminent if the situation persists. This entire ordeal has left me with a bitter taste regarding the quality of Balwin Properties and the competency of the estate manager at Central Park Oakdene.

I sincerely hope that my concerns are taken seriously, and immediate action is taken to rectify the situation. I believe that such negligence is unacceptable and falls short of the standards one would expect from a reputable brand.
