I app**** for a unit at Route 82 (a Central Development Property) and was told to pay R2500 deposit which I did. I signed no lease agreement nor was there any communication from Ezekiel thereafter. I contacted Ezekiel the consultant 3 days later to cancel and ONLY then he informed me that the deposit was not refundable. I did not sign anything stating this nor was I verbally informed! At the time I made payment with Ezekiel he made no mention of the deposit not being refundable. When I asked him for documentation stating this which I had signed, he drafted and sent me a back dated document, which I was seeing for the very first time and had not signed! There is clearly no transparency at Central Development and they conduct ********* business dealings. Had I been informed from the word go, I wouldn’t have had an issue with the deposit not being refundable! I cannot believe in 2019 there are still companies that rob people of their hard earned money! No honesty & integrity whatsoever! Kindly refund me my R2500, you cannot only tell me when I ask for it that it’s NOT REFUNDABLE!!! In future, be open and transparent from the word go! I wonder what the CPA has to say about this!
