I paid my deposit upon moving in and was promised payback when I move out provided their unit is in good order and I did exactly as expected, was faithful with rent every month on time didn't break anything. But guess what the refused to refund me my R4900 deposit😭 wen I move out having served my full term notice

05 Nov 2021, 13:36Good day Kgotso Thank you for your review.Kindly note that you have signed and submitted a lease extension on the 17th of June, which was successfully processed for a new fixed-term until August 2022. You visited our office on the 10th of July informing us that you wish to terminate your contract. To avoid being penalized a maximum cancelation penalty, we requested that you submit a calendar-month notice. We also requested that the premises be left in the same condition as it was received, to eliminate extra maintenance charges.
You were informed that you remain in breach of contract, and a minimum cancelation penalty will apply. You also received a cancellation letter stipulating the cancellation penalty.Please refer to clauses 21 and 1.29 in your signed lease agreement.
We regret to inform you that you do not qualify for a deposit refund, as you are in breach of contract for early termination. Regards, Management
