STAY AWAY FROM MANHATTAN LOFTS UNLESS YOU CAN GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL NEVER HAVE PROBLEMS

Stay away from Manhattan Lofts unless you know that you will never encounter a single problem while renting there. I have been a Central Development tenant for about 4 years, I first lived at Lemon Tree Apartments in Pretoria and then recently I moved to Manhattan Lofts in Alberton. In the 4 years, I have never missed a single month of rent and I challenge them to check their records to verify this. Until of course my employer did not pay my March salary on time and then my April rent got delayed. The distress I have endured from Manhattan Lofts is shocking , from Letters of Demand to daily calls and emails. So today my employer confirmed that I will be receiving my salary on Monday and upon advising the management of Manhattan Lofts that I will settle the arrears on Monday , I open myself up to more threats and abuse, I was called to sign an "Acknowledge of debt" and "Notice to Vacate", I was shocked , a 4 year relationship with this company and 1 month of unfortunate occurrence, I am suddenly a risk and I must move out. STAY AWAY FROM MANHATTAN LOFTS, they will throw you out should you encounter a problem, they do not negotiate , they don't look at your history with the organisation, they do not consider the relationship you have with them nor your payment record. They are not empathetic, they will throw you out NOW! Rather go to places where you know that should you have a problem, as we do live in a country of uncer*****y , that organisation will accommodate you the best way possible , especially if you have such a good record with them. For your sanity and peace of mind, DO NOT COME TO MANHATTAN LOFTS. No humanity, no empathy , they are bullies who are money driven. They don't care about the support you have given them over the years , its money NOW or MOVE OUT. A 23 days delay vs a 4 year clean record. They have no shame.

Good day Nomfundo  Thank you for your writing. We appreciate your loyalty to our brand and thank you for choosing us once again. We value our clients, and we strive to deliver an exceptional service so that our tenants may feel at home. We can unfortunately only do so when our tenants commit to their end of the contract. Having a payment default is regarded as breach of contract. The reason we offered you a notice to vacate is to safeguard both yourself and the landlord. Should you be unable to commit to a payment, you would only be further indebted, and this may negatively affect your account, hence we provide you with an opportunity to move out penalty-free. This is not an eviction, but an option. We sincerely apologize if you took offense to our procedures. Kindly note, that we are running a business and have protocols to follow to ensure the longevity thereof. We understand that you had delayed payment from your employer therefore we allowed you to commit to a date of payment which you weren't able to do. Please refer to site management, so that we can come to an agreement that both parties can benefit from.  Regards,
