I am a current tenant at Woodland's Place in Pretoria East, and I have to admit that as of recently, I would NEVER recommend living in a Central Development property!
If a tenant sends an email to indicate that he/she has issues, even if you can't make time to email them, at least a quick phone call to say "I saw your mail and we're working on a fix" or even "I sorted out that issue, please let me know if there's anything further." However, asking the management at Woodlands, Central Development and even Client Care to acknowledge you and your query, is the most pointless thing one could ever attempt!
In order to get any sort of assistance, tenants will have to call their agent, or go into the office to ask someone for help. In my case, Simphiwe and Mpume have literally had to listen to me complain about the same damn thing day after day and have gone on to pass the message through... I understand there's only so much they can do, it just sucks that at the end of it all, their efforts go unnoticed because no one follows up.
I find it so damn disrespectful and completely uncalled for, that the new Manager, Stefan (not really sure because he couldn't be bothered to introduce himself) refers to tenants as "The one with the water issue" Let's not get me started on the fact that the man has the nerve to tell agents that a client, with an actual issue is, and I quote "Just trying to get out of her contract"
The entire team can and should learn a thing or two from Simphiwe, Mpume, and Willem. Not once have I ever brought something up to one of these gentlemen and not gotten feedback. Not once has Willem ever knocked on my door and opened my taps to test whether the water was hot or not. Not one time did I feel the need to send emails and be nasty in order to have my issues fixed!
I plan on going to Twitter and Facebook to indicate my unhappiness and my irritation with the management team! I definitely will not be renewing my lease, and I will encourage as many people as I know at Woodland's Place to move out as soon as their lease expires, as it is evident that this is well on its way to being a sinking ship...
You don't even deserve the one star that I had no choice but to rate you with honestly...
Here's a suggestion though: Hire people who are passionate about working with people. People with good customer service and communication s****s. If you are unable to find such a person, send your staff for training. Teach them how to talk to clients. Teach them how to deal with a problem in an efficient manner. Matter-of-fact, send your current staff on courses that will help them work on these things if they aren't already capable.
I do want to also indicate that I would understand completely if Simphiwe and Mpume were exhausted from carrying Woodland's Place and literally picking up on the slack!
