Is Power Disconnections Legal

I complained about the same thing last month because i was also late with my rentals and was rectified but not knowing that its actually company policy to do that. I even removed the post out of respect fr the guy who assisted me. My question remains, is it legal to disconnect power to your tenant on failing to pay rent on time? Isn't that right enshrined in the country constitution and not lease agreement? Doesn't the government needs to be notified of such tendency by some of these agencies? I even went as far as researching this guy Henk Swart, he is ind of ruthless/barbaric guy from the comments i get on the internet but is still with the company. Why does this only affect my brothers of colour though? From my lease agreement, if i am late from paying my rental:

1) I get penalised and pay a fee, am happy with that and prepared to pay that because some phases in life, there are no shortcuts 2) Secondly it affects my credit record, which i am at pain and 3) I get a letter a demand which badly affect my credit history than just poor payment

Now i received a letter of demand stating that i have gt 20 days to pay outstanding rent but i don't understand why my power was disconnected. I have kids and i don't understand how a sane person would do that to another family. Isn't that treating pple like animals?

The junction is a good place to stay but this company is run the mafia way, its under bad management. People go through rough patches in life and if you are human, you should understand. Am disappointed

Hi There. Please advise here, 2 nights in a row no power or feedback. According to my contract if am late with payments i pay a penalty or my credit is affected, not power disconnections. You can't have it both ways, either you include a clause in the lease agreement regarding power disconnections and take out penalties or adverse listing thus reversing the Letter of demand. Or should i address my query with the National Government because this right here being violated is in the national constitution and entitled to all citizens equally

Hi Melissa, Your mails are bouncing - here is your response

That might have happened that i didn't pay full amount as promised on time yes which eventually will be paid, but my question remain: You charge me a penalty and my credit is also affected - That's in my contract which i signed and am aware of. Secondly TPN gave me 20 days to make the payment and never mentioned anything about electricity. Can someone therefore advise what=section allows you to deprive me of electricity when am already being punished and secondly if this TPN letter of demand invalid?
I have things in the fridge that are going bad and you breaching a contract you drafted, my kids are going to bed on junk food, bathing for school in cold water every morning deprived of a right they are entitled
I simply want to understand this, maybe am missing a point here. Its even confusing now if i should make other arrangement when i already have this letter of demand - advise
Awaiting your response
