Heartbroken and Defeated

It is with a sad a distraught heart that I have to resort to this kind of interaction with this company. Human Rights Day is approaching on Monday the 21st March and management of San Ridge Heights Rental Apartments have all but taken away mine and my family's right to electricity and water. 2 basic needs that one needs to survive. My electricity was cut on Friday night and the water was cut on Monday evening all because I owe 1 months rent of R7000. I have reached out to their Admin Office on site and was directed to one Leonel, property manager who insists I pay R5000 by Friday after I told him that I don't have money to pay and pleaded with him to pay by the 25th. Please bare in my my account is only in arrears by 1 months rents of R7000. I have never said I will not pay the money, I asked and pleaded to be granted an extension to pay on the 25th. I have 3 kids in the unit all under 12 years, the youngest being 2 who still takes formular in a bottle. She is my grandchild, she is now sick with flu because she has had to endure cold wipe baths because there's no electricity. Leonel keeps telling us about the landlord who needs his rent. Is my children' and grandchilds health and well being worth R7000? I am moving out of this unit on the 26th of March 2022 because my lease is over, they are holding my deposit of R6900 which they could use to recover their rent, even though I said I will pay on the 25th when I get my salary. I have to endure sleepiness nights with a sick baby because of this. While Leonel and the landlord get to go to bed warm with a flushing toilet and electricity and running water. I never asked to be in the situation that I am in but some of us are dealing with harsh realities and real life altering issues. I've explained to them my situation, they know what I'm dealing with. So Leonel and Mr Landlord whoever you are. I asked Leonel to give me your contact details he refused,he read my message and never responded. When you are celebrating Human Rights Day on Monday, I hope you will keep me and my family in your thoughts. Remember the ones whose rights you are violating right now, all because of R7000. Mr Leonel, I may not know all but I do know some of my rights as a tenant. Before you can lock me out of my unit for R7000, you have to serve me with a 14 day eviction notice signed by a judge. This from a very heartbroken defeated mother and grandmother.
