Extremely poor service

My rental application process for East on 82 was extremely bad. Firstly , I had to regularly follow up with the agents on the application progress and obtain tangible feedback. Both Sihle and Olebogeng dragged their feet on feedback and did not advise me on things or documents to be obtained in order to support my application. Sihle eventually confirmed the outcome of the application, subsequently to me expressing my dissatisfaction with him. He said the manager would contact me but to no vial , the manager never contacted me nor attempted to do such. They were very unprofessional and inconsistent. I expected them to inform me of the declined application and provide a reason or/and advise on alternative ways to have the application status overturned but, all they did was to bite their tongue when I demanded reasons.

Good day, Ntombikayise,  Thank you for your review. Kindly note that is imperative to provide our agents with all required documents in a speedy fashion for the application process to go as smoothly as possible. Our team has advised that your application was declined due to a lower-than-required credit score, but please note that as we are not an FSP we do not give financial advice nor are we licensed to.   Please contact The National Credit Regulators friendly service centre on  *** for further assistance.  For all queries, kindly contact our Client Care team at ***.  Kind Regards

Good day,
I am fully aware that you are not an FSP.

Trust and believe that I know who to contact for financial guidance. Sihle, the field agent was supposed to complete his work process by officially providing me with a conclusion on the matter and the reason thereof. Perhaps it is a norm in your company to only provide feedback to those who have been approved ? If that is the case, at least inform the applicant at the initial stages of the application process. My irritation is that he phoned me and restarted the process only for me to chase him around to do his duties and, even worse, when I got hold of him, he was not able to provide feedback and was not aware of where he was with the application process and requested documents which were already at his disposal and, at some point, he asked me when I could collect the keys, which was surprising because I had not received feedback on the status of the application. Furthermore, he promised that his manager would contact me to complete the application as it was somewhat difficult for him. Subsequently, he called back and rudely gave the status of the application and I firmly had to ask him to tell me the reason for the outcome and once again he was biting on his tongue and gasping for air. My view is that he is very unprofessional, and it indicates that he is oblivious to his work.

Note that , Olebogen and I had agreed on how to proceed forward before he took over and caused unnecessary frustration.

This is about his level of professionalism. Neither the status of the application nor financial advice, but purely his inability to communicate effectively and finalize the process in accordance to acceptable business standards.

Moving forward, prior to responding to a complaint, make certain that you fully comprehend the issue instead of being defensive and attempting to humiliate me and instructing me telephonically to withdraw my complain on this platform.

I trust you find everything in order.

Kind regards,
Ntombi
