Crime at East On 82

On the of 14 March 2022, East On 82 got my car towed. In light of this, I went to the offices to enquire about this and whether they could assist me in retrieving my car. I was notified by the offices that they cannot be involved in the process of retrieving car and I have to contact the towing company myself.

I made contact with the towing company "Store max storage" owned by Mathew and Tyron Azar. At first, I couldn't get ahold of them but eventually they answered. I proceeded by asking what the procedure would be for me to retrieve my car, I was later told that they would do some paperwork and send me an invoice.

I eventually received an invoice quoted for R23000 which was preposterous as my car had only been with them for a week. Furthermore, the tow company was charging me for having parked my car the the complex which again did not make sense because these are separate entities.

After disputing the invoice and requesting a structured invoice, communication from the towing company became non-existent. I started investigating, and found that this company is not a registered company and their offices do not exist.

I started question how an establishment like East on 82 could hire a non-existent company to tow tenant cars... Is this perhaps a syndicate that they are running...

I reached out to East On 82 to find out whether they could assist me in getting ahold of the towing company and in receiving an amended invoice as the towing company was charging me for having my car parked at the complex.

East On 82 reverted by saying they are not legal binded with the company and their agreement ends once the car has been towed.

I eventually made contact with the towing company and I am appalled by the level of unprofessionalism they exhibit. Mathew Azar (the owner) sends replies to my request to receiving an invoice by saying that I must pay R19000, which at this stage I have succumb to but I need an invoice for my legal team which he will not provide.

t's been over 2 months now, I still haven't received my car. The towing company won't even let me see the car, the towing company still refuses to send me an invoice even thou I agree to pay the money they requested.

As a tenant of this place I am extremely disappointed with lack of interest from East On 82 in assisting me to retrieve my car seeing they are the ones that got it towed in the first place. I'm extremely disappointed that they hired a service provider that's highly ***********, does not have a standard operating procedure and has zero regard for clients. At this point I just want my vehicle and want nothing to do with both entities. I urge to not consider staying at this complex as your possessions are not safe.
