I would like to warn anyone looking for a place to rent to stay away from Central Developments' first month rent free promotions. This company is a huge cheat and will charge exorbitant prices for any breakages just to make sure they don't give you back your deposit on your way out. They will hide from the you that they are selling the property till that moment you are already in and have signed a 12 months contract. They do not care if you have been in their property for 2 or 3 months then they offer to sell the house to you. Reason they would have taken you in is to get rent payments from you to cover their expenses but once they find a buyer they give you options like we will move you to another house or if you go to rent elsewhere we won't give you back your deposit. Mind you all this would not have been stated in the lease agreement. My worst experience was with Thatch hill complex under a manager called Abrie Ackerman, This guy and his team made life difficult for me to an extent where l got serious depression and fell ill. I went to hospital and when I came back they could not even pay a cent from any of my deposit .I phoned their office and this Abrie guy would claim he is not himself then I would hear his employees laughing in the background. He told me the medications l was taking were making me crazy all because I needed to know why I couldn't get any of my deposit back. Very cruel and money hungry company in real estates this one and it was a lesson I learnt in a hard way.

06 Nov 2018, 16:35Very much welcome and thank you. I am getting even more frustrated why I never came to check your reviews on here before coming to stay at your complex. I can not believe the amount of tenants that have bad reviews about this company .

We are mindful of the fact that this is a public platform and not the place to resolve difficult cases involving our clients. We prefer to do that in person. We would however like to state that we do not take kindly to vandalism of our property and your deposit was withheld to pay for the damages.

I was suffering from meningitis that was caused by the depression of being evicted after only a three months stay for a year long lease agreement. You do not know the amounts of money I was supposed to pay for new places. You do not know how it cost me to search for a new place and
go for viewing .That takes a lot of time and money out of someone's pocket.Nobody knows this at your company. You are selfish and greedy, u think people are animals. Right, I broke a mirror in the main bedroom and what else? Instead you sent a statement of things that u were claiming I broke and putting crazy prices.Your guys never painted my place and said when I wanna move I should call them and they will do it secretly for their own pockets. I am now writing this down for everyone to see and have zero information to hide. When my family came to collect my stuff you told them you saw I was sick and my deposit will be paid but that is not what you did. See , your place, your management, agents are all shady . I don't wanna be exposing all your employees dirty tricks but I can do if u need it, all of you at Thatch Hill. Man up to your mistakes, anyways I am glad I have moved on and been blessed but others have to be warned against you guys. This is why we had people moving out in 2 months and I would always wonder whatsapp?? Abrie, I have one word for you KARMA , you will learn to have respect for people and life one day.
