Bogus Landlord

Worst landlord to deal with!

Currently staying at Seattle Creek apartments. When we initially did the application they did not allow us to view the units before moving in.

We had asked the agent for a corner unit which is what we viewed and then we were dumped into a unit that is completely different to the showroom. Communication was sent to them to relocate us to a similar unit as we viewed and to alert us when the next corner unit will be available which 12 months later they have not moved us as per request.

Our lease comes to an end 30 November 2024 which we were sent a wrong lease extension form with same rental amounts which was co-signed by both landlords and lease holder(my partner).

Before the landlord co-signed the agreement we had asked them to revoke the extension as we didn’t receive a co-signed agreement and still within the grace period for renewals. They then all of a sudden sent us a co-signed agreement stating we can not move and that an application has been processed way back without confirming with us that we have a new lease which is signed by the landlord. They just kept quiet.

We then receive another email with increased rental amounts for us to sign after they have sent a wrong lease extension and want us to pay different amounts.

In conclusion they have different conversations amongst them and nobody wants to take accountability.

I wouldn’t recommend this landlord to anybody. We are currently looking for a replacement tenant to takeover however they do not want us to even advertise the unit.
