I rented a flat at Little Manhattan in 2016.before I moved in ,I was promised by an agent that they will repaint the walls ,but when date came for me to move in ,the walls were not painted and I went back to the agent to notify her and I told her im moving in because already I had stuff in the truck ready to be unpacked into the new place ,I told her to note that I moved in but the walls were dirty. Fast forward to 2017 ,I received a letter from credit bureau alerting me that Little Manhattan has blacklisted me ,because I after I left they did inspection and the walls were dirty so I need to pay R1300 ,and I called one of the Agent and he told me not to worry they will take it from my deposit of which I left behind because I didn't qualify to get it back since I didn't stay there for a year therefore I forfeited my deposit of R5000 of which I didn't dispute cos I wanted to move out.2018 again I receive the same letter ,telling me I owe them for the dirty walls .

We have done a full investigation regarding this matter and would like to bring the following to your attention:
- When you moved into the unit you did not mention anything about the walls been dirty on the in-inspection list, therefore we can not prove if they were dirty or not
- When you moved out the unit, you failed to show up for the out-inspection and therefore you could not dispute any problems that the agent noted on the list.
- Your deposit was forfeited due to early termination which you are aware of. Because the deposit was forfeited, the maintenance cost is for your account. This account is still outstanding.
