ANNOYED MANHATTAN LOFTS TENANT
The monthly internet black outs, exuberant cost of utilities & electricity that gets chowed even when I'm away for weeks on end, the never ending construction w the dust to match, the inconvenience of one gate working half the time and so forth and what have you. I can deal w all that but yoh!! When I renewed my lease at Manhattan lofts in May I asked Nonkululekod to change my debit order to the 1st as that was my new salary date. I sent all the documentation requested and yet the debit order wasn't changed, it has gone off on random dates from the 28th (previous deb date) since then and yet, I would still get persistent & borderline harassing texts from Kweku E reminding me to pay rent despite rent being paid on time, every single month. I eventually sent an email lamenting the harassing texts and was told something about rent reflecting late on their side or something along those lines which I asked them to fix as I had done my part. Fast forward to August 1st, issue was still not sorted and this time the debit order didn't even of, I was forced to pay rent through an eft after a demanding call this time. Subsequently, I got an email from Riana M requesting my bank statement to change my debit order yet again & submitted it on time. Riana called me on Thursday, 28.08 to say she made a mistake & set my debit order to the 28th & I made it every clear that it would bounce, and she suggested that I wait for the debit order to go off on the 1st & if that fails I should eft again, Again, I was clear that I'd want my money back if I did an eft only for the debit order to go off. Today, 2nd September I made the payment via eft and lo and behold, half an hour later the debit order still went off w an additional 150 more than my rental amount. So, now I've paid double the rent and then some and, I've emailed the three individuals I was in communication with at manhattan lofts and I'm yet to get a response. On Saturday, 30 August my electricity went off and I naively thought it was a complex issue l, I kept loading my gct account to be sure I had units but couldn't access it. I even missed my work deadline, waiting for power to come back up like a clown, but upon reaching out to gct I was informed that my account had been closed since I moved out as per my "rental agency" Im yet to get the clarity I asked for from said "rental agency" Is it not ironic to you that the same Manhattan lofts people that kept bombarding me w texts and calls demanding rent before we're even mid the 7day grace period fail respond to my measly emails now? Do you consider this level of inconvenience to your tenant's professional?
