Angry, upset ex Tenant

While the interior may appear attractive, the problems begin almost immediately after moving in. The building experiences frequent water shedding, and electricity is managed through an app called Iswitch. The charges are exorbitant . Every maintenance issue is deducted from your deposit whether the burden falls on the landlord or not. I have just moved out and three days of tariff charges were deducted from my deposit because I bought electricity 3days before moving out and I had 30 units left on the device when I moved out, crazy right. Now I am battling to get my deposit refund. On 30th Nov when I enquired when I will be getting it back , they said in 14 days and I am still waiting 16 days later. On the 12th I got an email to expect my money that afternoon and if not sometime next week. Remember their finance Dept is closed now meaning it was post dated for when I wonder? after other people have paid their Jan rental ? that's absurd. I worked in Finance before and I understand how payments are executed . If the day falls on a Sunday or Public holiday you prepare the payment to go through on a Fri or Sat . Strange enough when your rental is due on a Sunday they deduct the Friday before, if you have an overdraft on your bank account they debit on that overdraft but their contract mentions tracking your salary on the agreed date . Good luck renting or buying a unit there.
