WARNING: stay FAR away from CENTO AUTO REPAIRS, Brackenfell !!

What happened?

I was basically forced to make use of Andre's workshop, called Cento Auto Repairs (Brackenfell).

First time I met André, he spoke to me with an attitude & was not sympathetic towards the damage I was not even responsible for.

I made a request to see the quote, contacting him via SMS & WhatsApp messages. No response.

When I eventually had to sent my car in, I didn't even sign any documents to prove I am actually leaving my car with him. No records, just the keys to my vehicle.

I got no update from André in the time my car went in for repairs. When I finally got hold of him, he basically said he was too busy & doesn't have time to contact me (his client).

When I eventually could fetch my car, I was forced to sign a paper in order to get my own car back. It basically said, I am happy with the work. Since this was during the hot, blazing summer days, I was not going to stand in the blazing sun to check my car, which was standing outside the workshop.

I made notes on this form, correcting them on all the things they didn't do and explaining I won't be signing the work off, but will check when I get home (giving a signature where ever I made changes to his form - in his presence).

The receptionist was cold, unfriendly and not willing to help or understand what I was trying to say.

While I was there, I noticed one of his crew, using a cellphone's flash to see where he is working on a particular German car. This alone, speaks volumes to me.

After driving my patched car home, I noticed the following problems on the work done:

1) The bumper was not placed back correctly and was not aligned with the rest of the body. 2) Some generic plastic fastener flew off just waiting for the first pothole to shake it loose. 3) The spray work was done in such a way, one can see where the masking tape was placed, (skew and all) after removing the masking tape. 4) I strongly doubt the paint he app**** to the bumper, will also last a year in this blazing son, peeling probably just as his 1 year old warranty will fall away. 5) No documantation was handed over to me, stating any form of warranty or proof of workmanship.

Andre didn't even bother to do a follow up. We had to call the receptionist who said she's also busy, since she is answering phones & running a crèche, since it's school holidays (and I even saw some kid hanging around in the workshop the day I fetched my car).

We asked the receptionist for Andre to call us back, so that he can give us a refund on the work done on the bumper (since we are not happy with his quality of work) & have it fixed correctly somewhere else, since I won't be taking my car there ever again.

We were told, Andre will not be calling us back.

Stay away from Andre's CENTO AUTO REPAIRS located in Brackenfell.

They are rude, amateurs, does pathetic work and can't be recommended. Once Andre has your money, you won't hear from him again. Forget about after service or any form or peace of mind!
