Centauro Car Hire - Caution Recommended

Recently rented a car from Centauro in Spain - process for collection, return etc. was good, and car was in great conditions. However, two weeks after returning the car was hit with a 500 Euro excess for 'damage' to the car, despite no damage occurring during the rental period.

Firslty, the compmay has no logical way to contact them, so dont expect a simple phone call or email. When the eventually responded (approx. 2 months later) they simply referred to the contract and sent some outdated photos of the 'damage'. No justification for the cost. Car rental company's love to do this and then hide behind their contract. They also hope you wont, or cant, contact them.

Strongly suggest avoiding them as a rental option.
