Formal Complaint against: Bosch Service Centre Cnr Jacaranda &, Magiel St, Hennopspark, Centurion, 0157

Sequence of events: 1. My 2013 Land Rover Freelander 2 2.0 Si4 Dynamic Auto was delivered to Bosch Service Centre Centurion on the 14th January 2020.

The following issues was reported: - Vehicle is misfiring - Vehicle Turbo under boost leading to a lack in power - Vehicle Cooling fan does not turn off (Have to disconnect the battery for it to switch off) - Vehicles power steering is heavy and leaking power steering fluid.

2. I received a quotation on the 17th January 2020 – Bosch advised that the Turbo had a crack in the manifold, and that they will send the vehicle to an Auto Electrician to test the Fan controller. 3. I requested amendments to the Quotation. A second quotation was received and approved 4. 21st Jan 2020 after not receiving any feedback I decided to drive to Bosch. Upon my arrival @16:28 I was horrified to find my vehicle parked in the bush outside the Office Park boarder next to a tree. I confronted the floor manager (Boetie) who explained they are working on the building and moved the car so not to get damaged. I explained that should the vehicle get ****** or damaged neither their nor my insurance will cover the cost as the vehicle was not on prem. Boetie just apologized and they immediately moved the vehicle. Further inquiry on the current progress of the repairs also yield no positive results. 5. On the 23rd January 2020 I requested feedback on the progress of the repairs, and also requested the Diagnostic print-out. 6. I only received feedback on the 24th Jan 2020 7. On the 29th Jan 2020 I again had to request an update on the vehicle (Please note the laps in time between updates) I received feedback with another apology and was informed the vehicle is with the auto electrician. 8. I was quoted for the fan switch, which was approved. 9. Payment was made on the 30th Jan 2020. R 31,500.00. I requested a copy of the diagnostic done by the Auto Electrician, which I never received. I also requested confirmation of the warranty and the expiration date thereof, which I never received. (Note this was also a memo made on the release document signed on the 31st Jan 2020 accepting delivery of the vehicle) 10. Delivery of the vehicle was taken on the 31st Jan 2020. I requested to see the parts which was removed. Especially the Turbo. At first I was told the old Turbo was send back as it was a recondition Turbo they replaced. After a few minutes of confusion, they finally manage to find the old Turbo. I asked Boetie to show me the crack in the Turbo. He could not find the crack. They called the man who replaced the Turbo, and he did not mention any crack but shook the Turbo assembly and said to me: You hear that noise. That is why the Turbo is not working???? There was no point in arguing so we left it there. 11. Before I could sign the release form, I noticed that there was a Diagnostic report attached to the form which still indicated that the Turbo is in a Pending Status. I inquired why and I was met with an answer that it was the wrong diagnostic report. Boetie offered to redo the diagnostic. Which yield a clean report. (Which is extremely Suspicious as the issue with the passenger rear door locking was not repaired and did not come up with a status Pending. I signed the release form and left the premises in my Land Rover. 12. My family and I drove the Land Rover from Centurion to Pretoria (The Same Day). During this trip the vehicle was still behaving the same. Indicating that the, lack of Turbo boost was not fixed. Which means the issue was not the Turbo, and therefore the replacement thereof was unnecessary. 13. Upon arrival at my destination, the vehicle was still running but stationary, with the aircon on. Within minutes the Land Rover over heated, and the fans from the cooling system did not come on. 14. I immediately switch off the vehicle and send an email to Bosch. 15. 3rd February 2020, the Land Rover was transported via flatbed from Pretoria to Bosch. 16. A verbal conversation was held with Zandre on the 3rd Feb 2020. I expressed my concerns and I was told they will have a look and update me. o Cooling system is crossly malfunctioning o Vehicle Turbo still under boost. 17. The last feedback I received was on the 4th Feb 2020. 18. Today is the 6 Feb 2020, and I have not received any feedback. 19. Please note the Land Rover is still in the possession of Bosch Service Centre, Centurion.

Please also note I requested the owners’ information to resolve the issue with the branch, but I was never provided with the owners’ detail.
