Shrunken brake pads

STAY AWAY! Took my car in for a diagnostic and repair on a noise coming from the front of my car. This noise was coming from the previous time (6 months prior) I had my car with them to replace front bearings. They had my car for more than 4 days and could not find the source of the noise that they created. I told them to make a note that they will see me within 6 months with this same issue and this is exactly what happened.

They quoted me R4k to replace the engine and gearbox mounting. I got my car back and the noise was not gone. To add insult to injury, there was some new noises. FUN! Took the car back and after 2 specialists had looked at the car, they told me the brake pads was too small and then quoted me ANOTHER R4k for new brake pads and disks. After I told them to have the trail and error on their expense rather than mine, they phoned me to say "you will not have to pay anything" Great! got there and what they did was added spacers to my brakes, suddenly the disks did not need replacement??? I have not heard of spacers on brakes before and requested a full report on what they did to resolve this issue. I also requested the vehicle history job card to submit it to the AA. Funny enough they are avoiding my emails and calls. How can the brakes pads be big enough the previous 4-6 months before they had their hands on my car for the bearing replacement and suddenly they have lost sight of life and wanted to be smaller?? Mind blown!
