Cellphone insurance

Good afternoon My name is Chalain Nhlapo, ID no *** I lost my cell phone on the 6th August 2020 which I bought from Jet Store. immediately app**** for the phone to be ensured with Jet, now that I lost my phone my insurance is telling me that my insurance was cancelled in January due to it was on areas without my acknowledgement, I was still of the opinion that my phone is ensured since I am still paying my installment, I believe I was suppose to be informed by the Insurer so that I can take a decision by myself not for them to decide on my behalf
