Unfair pay out of benefit

I worked for Lindsay Saker for a period starting july 2004 resigned round about 2007 August I speak under correction. I never claimed my benifit. I went over sea came back end of 2010. Yet for some reason I forgot about the benefit. I received a call in February from the tracing department about my unclaimed benifit. I gathered all the necessary documents and forwarded to Nomsa from the tracing department. On the 9th of April I received a payment from them with the amount of R8 895.09 which I dont agree that its right. I am suppose to get payed out my portion as well as company as I worked for the longer than a year total contributions to the fund without intrest was plus minus R 17 700. What happened to the intrest. I called Cedar a number of times and they cant answer me I requested a detailed statement which I still didnt recieve.
