Humiliating Auction experience
On Saturday the 1st April 2023, I joined the Pumulani dispersal auctions in Machadodorp to my embarrassment. I bid for 14 dormers (2 lots), was instructed to do a faster bank payment THEN upon collection was humiliated by the farm owner who decided to change the one pregnant dormer sheep that had just lambed to another sheep not included in my lot. All people including Corne Du Plessis talked down on me, instructed me to rather abandon the disputed lot and take only 7 of the puchased sheep. I found this unacceptable and requested a full refund which they reluctantly did process. I bid in an open auction and deserved better. todate all i have are the papers showing proof of purchase and payment and no livestock despite my expenditure to Machadodorp (500 Km to and fro).
Clients should not be ill-treated and embarassed unnecessarily after invitations to partake at auctions. especially on April fools day!
