BAD service

dear cctv shop, Remember i said, i will make the problems public if the owner does not call me.

well, dear public and potential customers,
do not trust the equipment that they sell you.

i bought 2 tracking units for my vehicles about 3 years ago and have never stopped having trouble with them.

firstly i was told by the shop assistance, Dean and Chris that i should not use MTN as a service provider as their coverage is useless.

then the units were reset 6-7 times.

then the units went to the shop and they reset them in the shop.

then the units were reset again a few times, maybe 5.

then i was "forced" to try make them work with Vodacom and i went and bought and registered Vodacom sim cards and the problems were exactly the same.

by the time that the resetting was not helping and after i was told that the CCTV shop had received instructions from the manufacturer on how to fix this the 1 year guarantee was up.

ever since then the CCTV shop has been trying to reset the units so that they would work as intended.

in december 2015 i handed the uinits back to the CCTV shop to have them checked out and repaired at the manufacturer in China.

today 2016-05-27, 5 months later i paid them a visit, only to be told that the units NEVER went to China as there is a local agent in South Africa.

apparently the local agent says that the units are OK and i must expect to loose the vehicles while tracking them and only pin point them somewhere within a 15 Kms radius.

they refuse to let me test the units as they have switched my web access off and blame the agent for that.

they claim that i have to pay for the 5 months that i did not have units so that access can be granted.

this, my dear friends at the CCTV shop is what i promised you if you did not call me by the end of business today.

i need to remind you that before i was aware that the units did their thing and did not pin point the vehicle, my driver was late to return and his phone battery was flat (something i did not know)

the tracking unit showed the vehicle inside a warehouse 50 Kms away from where it was supposed to be.

i even got SAPS involved as i was sure that my driver must have been hijacked.

needless to say, while i was 50 Kms away looking for the vehicle the vehicle returned to base and the tracking was still showing the vehicle in the warehouse.

i have also had the tracking unit show my vehicle driving in Egypt 15 minutes after it left Johannesburg.

the ball is in your court CCTV shop.
i am not interested in anything you have to say.
i want the number of the agent.
i also want a FULL refund.
further 5-6 visits to your Shop in Vanderbijlpark are not around the corner from Johannesburg, so i guess travelling expenses plus time waisted must be compensated too.
