WAITING ONE MONTH FOR MY HANDSET...AND STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED

I was called at the end of January 2017 by CCI for a renewal of one of my MTN contracts. They called on behalf of MTN. I was not going to renew my contract but thought that I could do with another phone until my other MTN contract was up for renewal.

So I accepted the renewal and chose a Huawei P9 Lite and gave my address and all the other details they required. Was told my phone would arrive about 7 later, which I accpeted.

I called CCI on the 7th of February 2017 to find out where my parcel was and when I could expect it. They notified me that the address they had for me was not the one I gave them. but if one had to go back to my original call with Monifah with Ref no: UV ********** , i went over my address a few times. So, gave them the correct address a second time, and then was told they would change my details and the phone would be with me in the week.

I called again on the 14th of February, to again see where my phone was . I was told that my parcel was sent out but that I was not there to receive it, with was a lie as I work in an office park with a reception and boom gates and I would have known if someone had come to the office.I told the agent that my address was incorrect at the time because someone didnt type it out correctly. He said that they still had the incorrect address on file and that the agent who I had given the "correct" address to had not updated the system. I was then told that they would get someone to call me regarding the adress change. How did they even attempt to send out my phone to an adress that did not exist??

Eventually, I called a FOURTH time to find out where my phone was , and was told if was on its way back to them as I did not receive it when it was send out, this was aroung the 24th of February...Not sure how they even do business wit the excuses they come up with. I left my cell number for them to call me when they are here with my package (like all good couriers do)

Lasty, after my call with CCI on Friday the 24th, I filled in a query on their webiste left my cell number to contact and emial address.

On Monday the 27th of February, someone from CCI called to comfirm my address for delivery of my phone. I confirmed again that their address they STILL had on file was correct. The lady took it down correct this time, apparently, and I was told that my phone was going to be delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday (28.02.2017/01.03.2017). Today is Friday the 03rd day of March 2017...I am still without the device.

I decided to call MTN directly this morning, was directed from one agent to Cell phone upgrades on 083 ********** ...spoke to the lady there and explained my problem and was told that on her side, the phone was credited at CCI, asked what does that mean. she said that on the 20th of February CCI tried to call me on an 031 number and they said that I do not work there..what is pathetic and I can't even comprehend is...if all dealing were done on my cell phone, ********** 642, if this number is what they called on first, and then also on Monday the 27th, why not use this number to call me like I said so?!?!? I then asked the agent at MTN if I could just take the upgrade directly from MTN and she said yes, but that I would have to cancel the contract with CCI first.

I then called CCI and was on hold for like 30mins when I realised I am wasting my time and money with first of all, a company who called me to take the upgrade but was pathetic at service delivery (third world beauty at its best), and then my service provider who obviously work hand in hand with CCI, but want me to try cancel my contract with CCI with all the problems I have had to date.

Another fact that I cannot comprehend is, how if the contract phone was credited on CCI's side on he 20th, did the CCI that I spoke to on the 27th, tell me that my phone would be with me in two days max?!?!?

Going to try and call CCI again and then see what else MTN has to say and if they can help me. I was going to cancel my contract instead of renewing it as I already possess another MTN contract, but now for one month, while xpecting a a new handset, I have just paid a debit order withe the inclusion of this contract...but alas...no phone
