Fooled!

<p>I received a call on my cell over 2 weeks ago. The person said that they were from MTN and calling to optomise my mobile package as she could see that another package would be more cost effective for me. At the same time she gave me an upgrade. I have an iPhone 6 Plus and wanted to upgrade to the iPhone 7 Plus 256 Gig. She said that this would be no problem. I received the cellphone yesterday and on opening the box discovered that I was upgraded to an iPhone 7. I called MTN immediately who then advised that they had not done the upgrade at all and that it was a partner of theirs. Ronel from MTN Direct advised that their partner would call me and that I should take the iPhone 7 back to a MTN shop as a first step. I returned the phone to MTN Direct Cresta immediately that day. I have still not been called by MTN's partner. So I called MTN Direct to followup today - having not received any further communication - and was advised that they can do nothing and that it is CCI South Africa that processed the upgrade. I was given their number to call and chase up myself. The number cuts out everytime I try to contact them. So now I am left with no phone, an incorrect upgrade with a company I would not have upgraded with had I known that were in fact NOT MTN as they told me on the call. I do not know where to go from here but I need a resolve. Between CCI and MTN - someone needs to step up and assist. </p>
