Caxton Books - New year - same issues

Completely useless. No indication on their site that book is on back order. No comms. Pathetic service instore. Quick to take payment in full. Same problem year in, year out. By now you'd expect that they have improved their service taking lessons from history, but clearly not. Spoke to the manageress Joy regarding a refund as I can get the book at an alternative supplier, but was told that she is not authorized to do refunds. Was told to email Caxton. I then advised that I've previously emailed Caxton on a few occasions with no responses received. Was then told to speak to Jonathan Ferreira, (apparently the owner) but he's not available. Lets see if he calls back. To all prospective buyers, DO NOT CLICK THE PAY BUTTON on their website until you've confirmed whether they have the book in stock. They will not only make you wait when you collect your books, but you'll then shortly discover that they don't have most of it in stock. They'll politely turn you away and make it your problem.

Reviewer Update
I visited Caxton on Saturday as I did not receive a call back from the owner. I met with Jonathan Ferreira who started off our conversation with, ' I see you are very angry so I'm not going to engage you any further. ' I still pleaded my case after which he became very defensive and advised that I should also take part of the blame as him and his business were not entirely at fault. He made it very clear that they process in excess of 10000 orders and cannot guarantee effective comms with each and every client. Long story short, he then miraculously got out the book that I ordered, wasn't much interested in what I had to say and his agitated behavior clearly displayed his reluctance to continue our conversation. He wasn't open to any constructive criticism nor when I requested that he at least responds to complaints on Hello Peter. He clearly does not need the business.
