Managers attitude was despicable
Cattle Baron Skukuza - No complaint about the Food or the Venue. However the managers attitude was despicable .A simple mistake was made by the waiter putting a low priced item in front of the wrong person .This person started eating the omelette when the correct order arrived & once the table and the waiter realized it was the incorrect meal and was meant for another person at the table, the waiter said we would have to pay for the half eaten Omelette (R60). When we consulted the Manager at the Venue on the 15th of June he said we had to pay for the half eaten omelette. With many years eating out and having owned a restaurant for 20 years I have never seen such an attitude .The customer is always right even when they are wrong. It was not the waiters fault as the kitchen brought the food. The outcome that upset us the most was that the manager made the waiter Pay for the omelette .We did not want to make a fuss as we were surrounded by overseas tourists. However on a second attempted conversation with the manager and what looked like senior management that also witnessed this incident, no remedy was offered to us and they insisted the waiter was going to pay . I find this totally unacceptable in this day and age with Corona19 present. Did they expect us to pass a half-eaten Omelette across the table to be eaten by the correct person?
