Fantastic food and service

We took my mother to Cattle Baron in Durbanville for her birthday on the 12th of February. Our waitress, Christy was really good. Friendly and prompt, without being overbearing. Food came quick, considering it was burger night and we had ordered 3 Chateaubriands all done differently. Which brings us to the main focus for this review: Oh my goodness the food was good! I mean, I've had good fillet before. But they take it to a whole new level. The veggies tasted like veggies, not vegetable flavoured butter and sugar. And the bearnaise sauce was perfect. And it being fillet, you could cut it with a plastic knife (although they give you proper steak knives).

I'll definitely keep going back there. They're not really expensive either compared to other steak houses and ranches and things that will go unnamed.
