Cattle Baron Skukuza

My family and I went for dinner at Cattle Baron Restaurant, Skukuza Rest Camp, Kruger National Park. We were greeted by Sello, (which I assume was the floor manager for the evening) and got taken to our table. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and relaxed with soft music playing in the background. Our waitress was Christabel, very friendly and very relaxed as she was under control of our table and the rest of her tables.

The table was set beautiful, but it was not wiped down properly. There were still crumbs and salt granules from previous customers who sat at the table before us and the chairs and couches were not wiped down properly.

We placed our drinks order which arrived within 4-6 minutes from sitting down. We placed our individual main course orders which consisted off Parmesan Chicken, Venison Steak and Garlic steak and crumbed mushrooms for starter.

The gentleman who worked at the bar had the most amazing smile and looked very professional in his uniform. Our main course arrived within 10 min of placing our orders. The Parmesan chicken beast with the fried onion rings was one of the best dishes I have ever had. It was juicy, well cooked and perfect portion size. Compliments to the kitchen team on the chicken. The steaks were cooked to perfection, but the 2 garlic steaks arrived cold at the table and had to be sent back to the kitchen to be warmed up. This was sorted out immediately.

The over all experience was very good and the service was above average, and the food value for money. It is worth dining at Cattle Baron,Skukuza
