Caterweb after sales service review
I purchased a Trespaid 5 Litre sausage maker from Caterweb, which is imported and should be a good quality piece of equipment. The reason for my purchase was to attempt to make dry wors from home, for fun. After using the sausage maker for the fifth time it jammed. I cleaned it and tried it without any mince in it and it appeared to work. I then loaded it again and it jammed. Not too worried about this as it is still under guarantee by Caterweb been less than a year old I sent it back to Caterweb. They inspected it and told me it would cost me R2600 to fix. They told me the gears were damaged and therefore it was not covered under their guarantee. I had it returned as I was certainly not in a position to pay an additional R2600 to have it repaired by them. I feel absolutely let down by Caterweb as I am now in possesion of a useless piece of equipment that cost me a lot of money to buy in the first place. I certainly would be very carefull dealing with Caterweb and do believe that the equipment I purchased from them was defective. Big company, their word against mine they win of course.
