Unprofessional and Pathetic Attitude

On Thursday the 30 November 2017, after a long and stressful few weeks at work, my colleague and I decided to purchase a wikideal spa voucher. The spa that we bought this voucher from was Casuarina Spa at Cape Royale Hotel in Greenpoint. This was our third visit to the spa, so we were really looking forward to this as our previous visits were amazing. Unfortunately on our third visit, we were utterly disappointed. Upon arrival, we were escorted to the sauna. After 10mins of unbearable heat and claustrophobia I approached the the****** for an alternative. She advised me to alternate between the shower and sauna every few mins even though I told her that it was too hot. I then opted to use the bath tub as we were given an HOUR to spend in the sauna, which I could not stand. Due to the water restrictions and an HOUR to ****, we filled the bath with approximately 4L of water to soak our feet. We were then escorted to the treatment room and two mins before our massages, we were greeted with a very unpleasant Manager named Shaheeda. She REPRIMANDED us for using the hydro tub ****erally just a bath tub with jets that we DID NOT even put on). She basically spoke to us as if we were children and for two very anxious people, we feel that this is very inappropriate prior to treatment. She then demanded that we pay R480 for using the tub, which we refused to do as we did not sign any form of liability. NONE of the the******s gave us an alternative treatment or an apology for the misunderstanding. We feel that we cannot be held accountable for staff members who knows the protocol, but failed to inform us thereof. Both being health care professionals, we understand the implications of informed consent and medical history screening prior to treatment... None of which were carried out. They failed to consider my Low Blood pressure and insisted that I sit in the sauna for the hour. We are really disappointed in the attitude of the staff members and we will not set foot in there again NOR will we recommend the spa to anyone. PATHETIC!
