Absolutely Horrific Experience – Avoid at All Costs
The treatment room was freezing, despite two panel heaters supposedly on. It felt more like a hospital room than a spa – completely lacking in warmth or comfort. To make matters worse, the floor was wet when we entered, which made undressing an awkward and unpleasant ordeal.
There were no aromatics or essential oils used – you couldn’t smell a single product, and nothing about the environment felt relaxing or inviting. The massage itself was terrible: clearly done by untrained staff who lacked even the most basic technique. Instead of offering a seamless treatment, they kept interrupting the session to rinse cloths at the basin, which wasted our time and shattered any sense of flow or relaxation.
For a spa operating in a luxury hotel, this level of service is unacceptable. I feel utterly cheated and will be demanding a full refund for what was, frankly, an amateur and miserable experience.
Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere – there are many places in Cape Town that actually understand hospitality and wellness. This is not one of them.
