Bad service and rude treatment - Castle de Wildt

Our family had a wedding at a venue close to Modimolle on Saturday 26 August 2023. The Bride and Groom wanted all guests that had slept over in and around Modimolle to join them for a breakfast at Castle de Wildt on Sunday 27 August before everyone left for home. The bride (my daughter in law) even telephoned Castel de Wildt in the week before the wedding to confirm if they would be able to cater for approximately 60 - 80 people for breakfast and if it was necessary to make a formal booking for such. They indicated that it would not be a problem and that a formal booking was not needed, When the wedding guests arrived at Castle de Wildt on Sunday the bride requested the venue personnel to arrange a big (family) table on the one stoop for all the guests. She first was told that it is not possible but then, with a very long face, the staff member said they would do it. When I arrived some of the guests were already there sitting and waiting for the large table to be arranged. I waited for approximately 30 minutes for a waiter and then walked inside to find one to take my drinks order for my wife and myself. We ordered two tomato ****tails. After another 20 minutes we were told that the restaurant had run out of tomato juice for the ****tails and that we had to change our order. We then changed the order to one cappuccino and one Vodka and orange juice. 45 minutes later we still had no drinks. When I confronted my waiter he said that he was busy and the day was a mess. I should say that although approximately 50 of our wedding guests were there the venue seemed not nearly full to its capacity. He then told me to follow him to the bar area to fetch my drinks!!! I was really not happy with the bad service and the way the waiter treated me. I told the waiter that I would rather cancel my order as we could not wait this long for two simple drinks. His reaction was and I quote: "Whatever"!! This is absolutely not acceptable and I will never visit this place again or recommend it to anyone!!! When my wife and I left a large part of our group were not helped as yet and also just left.
