Two different price labels on item

I was at cash converters montana crossing Wednesday 15 july 2020 and i saw a Panasonic blu ray player while browsing in store but it had two different sticker prices on it. (I have pictures of this) When i enquired at the checkout about the 2 different price labels on it i was told the lower price is the cost price sticker they put on it. I then asked, if that is the case, why display the cost price on the item in the first place and why doesn't any other item in the store, except this one, have its 'cost price' displayed on it. They couldn't give me an answer.

I then told them that as far as i know, the law states they must sell it to me at the lower displayed price (i have proof of this) They refused and i left without purchasing it.

I am a frequent & loyal customer of Cash Converters and just last week i spent thousands at the Silverton branch and i got such good service then that i gave the manager & the sales lady, Carike, chocolates to say thank you for the good service they gave me.

I don't appreciate the service i received at this branch though and clearly being **** to by the staff member about this pricing issue.
