Sky high interest

To cut the long story short, years ago I took out a loan with cash converters and paid more than a quarter of loan ..for some odd reason communication cut between the store and I when I was about to finish the repayment. Last year I enquired about the same thing to find out that from the balance and amount of R1600 was interest...that is ridiculously to much. Can this be reviewed
