Shocked at manager's disgusting attitude

My nanny purchased a cupboard from Cash Converters last week for R1800 + R100 delivery. Upon delivery the cupboard did not fit through the storeroom doorway. She returned to store asking to return the cupboard and was told that it could be bought back for R900. <br> <br> I called the store this morning and spoke to the manager, Lighton. I explained the situation and he responded that he knew nothing about the cupboard. I then enquired politely as to whether the CPA app**** and he barked at me that Cash Converters did not sell goods with a warranty and the Act did not apply. I acknowledged this but asked how it could be considered fair to not take the cupboard back in such circumstances. He barked back that my nanny should have measured the door. I asked what my further recourse I had and he said that the purchaser must come to store to discuss. I said this had been done and he said not with him and also inferred that my nanny was lying. I said that I was calling on behalf of my nanny (who was with me) and he refused to discuss further. My nanny is too afraid to return.<br> <br> I look forward to your response on the fairness of the offer and the attitude of the manager.
