Ricky at Silverton Cash converters is pathetic.

Where do I start???

I contacted cash converters silverton for 18ct bangles that I wanted to buy. I spoke with the sales lady who told me the items I wanted are still for sale. I then spoke to the so called manager Ricky to ask if I can get a discount for taking both bangles at R40,000. After a long conversation he agreed and the sales lady told me that i should pay R10,000 for the deposit. Later that evening I went home and made the deposit for R10,000. The next day I called them and told them I made the payment they then said that the money is not in their account, I later called my bank Standard bank to find out what the issue was, they advised me that because my payment was done to a new beneficiary after 6pm and for a high amount of money they held the payment to confirm with me, I confirmed that indeed it was me that made the payment and they should release the money.. I then called silverton cash converters to tell them that I've spoken to my bank and they will release the funds Later they told me the money is still not in. The weekend past and on Monday morning 25 Aug 2025 my payment was in their account, but the manager Ricky sent the 2 bangles supposedly to cash converters head office to melt it. I told them that this is not my fault their bank FNB took so long to process the payment. The manager knew that I was interested in the 2 bangles and had already made payment to them but still sent the bangles away! He could have done the decent thing and called me to say that my payment is not in yet and he will be sending it away, the fact that my payment was already in their account and he done this is pathetic to say the least!!! Dispite they having my money in their account he did not have the decency to even call me. I followed the terms set out in their policy but the manager thinks he is above the policy of cash converters SA and if this is so then why even have a policy???

The items are supposedly sent to Head Office, he could have got it back. He told the sales lady if I pay R36000 then he will get it back, so this means he could have got the bangles back but just did not bother! How messed up can this actually be??? Knowing he could have got the bangles back and my payment already in their account he just did not bother!

This is a message to people wanting to support silverton cash converters, if you want to support ****s and down right pathetic people like Ricky then go ahead.
