Really Bad Service

I recently purchased a car amplifier from the Cash Converters second-hand store in Springs Mall. The assistant was unable to test the amplifier because he didn't have the necessary tools to connect it. However, he assured me that the product was in working condition, stating that they wouldn't sell it to me if it wasn't. Trusting the reputation of Cash Converters, I took his word.

Upon arriving home, I discovered that the amplifier did not work as expected. I returned it to the store with the purchase receipt, at which point the manager requested a receipt from the technician who had installed the car amplifier. Since I had installed it myself, as I typically do with my other car amplifiers (all of which have worked without issue), I could not provide the requested documentation. Regrettably, the manager informed me that they could not assist me without this technician's receipt.

This situation has left me in a frustrating and disappointing predicament. I have had to spend an additional R450 to repair the car amplifier, which was an unforeseen and unwelcome expense.

I firmly believe that the salespeople at Cash Converters should have informed me of the need to have a qualified technician install the car amplifier to ensure that any potential faults do not void the warranty. Unfortunately, no one provided this crucial information. I am deeply disappointed by this entire experience.
