I would like to bring to your attention the shocking service I received at Cash Converters Ferndale of republic. This is the second such incident I have brought to your attention. I went to the store on Sunday 29 October 2023 at 9 am.

There were two staff members on duty. The one was outside smoking his vape, which I have seen doing on several occasions. It seems he does more vaping than work.

I showed an Orient watch to the other gentleman on duty, and he tried looking up the model on Google but could not find it. He then went to the back to ask someone the value. He came back and offered me R350 for an Orient Chronograph watch which would retail at R2500+id bought new.

I asked him why he offered so little for the watch when a week ago I was paid R450 for cheaper watches like Tempo. He came up with an excuse that they have enough watches now and the watch would not sell. While he was talking to me, he fitted the watch on his arm trying to see if it would suit him. This is very unprofessional behaviour.

The staff members on duty are very unfriendly and unhelpful. They don’t greet when you walk into the store and have long faces. There is a staff member who was not on duty on Sunday, that has always given me good service and offers for my goods.

I am not doing further business with Cash Converters in future and am going to publish this letter to inform the public of this shocking service.
